With Wale’s album Ambition NOW in stores, it’s only right we make a post about him for those who don’t know. Mr. Folarin is an DC native and reps the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virgina) area proudly. He got noticed back in 2006 with his “Dig Dug (Shake It)” and adds a go-go flow in his music. Mike Ronson signed Wale in 2006, where he released several mixtapes and gained national attention including MTV and various magazines. In 2008, Wale signed to Interscope Records and released his debut album, Attention Deficit with “Pretty Girls” and the Lady Gaga assissted “Chillin” as his singles, but the album didn’t perform well. Early 2011, Rick Ross signs Wale to his Maybach Music Group, there they released a joint album, Self Made Vol. 1.
